Why I do this work
My first funeral was my grandfather’s, in a small town in Iowa. The director knew everyone’s name and never hurried us. I wanted to be that person.
Cremation families are often told there is nothing to plan. There is always something, even if it is only a quiet hour together first.
Training & license
Associate degree in mortuary science, 2013. Licensed funeral director in Nebraska since 2014 and in Iowa since 2016.
